18 Month Contract + 12 Month Extension Option Ability to obtain a Baseline Clearance Can be done from any Australian State Our Client, an Australian Federal Government Agency with office locations across Australia, is seeking a suitably qualified UX Designer .
As a UX Designer, you will be dedicated to crafting user-centric interfaces that prioritise accessibility and inclusivity.
In this role, you will conduct user research, design intuitive interfaces, and collaborate with various teams to ensure a seamless user experience.
Your strong analytical skills will help bridge the gap between user needs and business objectives, ensuring all users have equitable access to digital services.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Conduct comprehensive research to understand user needs; Create intuitive and accessible user interfaces for various platforms, including web portals and mobile applications; Develop wireframes and prototypes to visualise design concepts and facilitate user testing, ensuring that designs meet user expectations; Conduct user testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on designs based on user insights; Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote a shared understanding of user centred design principles and ensure seamless usability across all touchpoints; Ability to interpret complex user and business requirements to deliver compelling design solutions; Advocate for inclusive design practices, ensuring that all digital interactions provide a consistent experience regardless of how users access them; Challenge existing design assumptions, suggesting improvements to reduce complexity and enhance usability in line with user feedback.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to: Gather and investigate information from diverse sources and explore new ideas and different viewpoints; Undertake objective, systematic analysis and draw accurate conclusions based on evidence; Identify problems and work to resolve them; Commit to achieving quality outcomes and ensure documentation procedures are maintained; Build and sustain relationships with a network of key people internally and externally.
