Step into a pivotal role where your administrative expertise and community spirit can shine! Your primary objectives will be to:
Provide direct executive and administrative support to Mr Baillie MP. Support and engage with constituents and community groups. General administration of the daily operations of the electorate office. The key duties of the Electorate Officer include: Plan and implement the Townsville Electorate Office Strategy, including constituent enquiries, communications, community campaigns, and stakeholder engagement. Provide overarching strategic direction, day-to-day liaison with, and management of, staff to oversee the smooth operation of the electorate office, including management of changing and competing priorities across multiple areas of responsibility. Provide overarching budget and recruitment management. Manage office processes, procedural documents, and people management, including workflow, leave, performance, and entitlements. Manage local community campaigns. Your key strengths will be: Your ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and meet competing deadlines. Competency with IT and managing multiple programs as part of daily work. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Your professional and proactive attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality. A keen interest in Australian politics and a desire to promote the community and policy activities of the Member for Townsville.
