Our Manufacturing & Maintenance – Transport business is seeking a dedicated Administration & Payroll Officer to join the team in Bohle , Townsville . This site-based role requires you to work Monday to Friday for 5-6 hours per day.
Your Role: As the Administration & Payroll Officer , you will learn all aspects of payroll management and serve as the welcoming face of our facility to staff, clients, visitors, and associates. Reporting to the Area Operations Manager , your key responsibilities will include:
Professionally greet and interact with clients, customers, or internal staff members, both in person and over the phone. Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the site team. Execute and record the payroll function in a precise and timely manner. Assist with purchasing production/project material requirements, including raw materials, components, equipment, and services. About You: You are an energetic and customer-focused professional with the ability to communicate effectively and build long-term relationships. Other key skills and experience include:
2-3 years' experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective and professional interaction with a diverse range of people. Conversant with administrative procedures across different business domains, including accounts, HR, production, projects, HSE, procurement, and stock control. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.
