About the Role The BIF Manager will provide specialist skills to drive and support the training and research associated with the UTS Biologics Innovation Facility (BIF). The BIF is a pilot-scale GMP-ready biologics manufacturing facility with upstream and downstream capacity for up to 200 L bioreactors. Specifically, the incumbent will utilise their expertise in biomanufacturing, cell culture, protein purification, and molecular biology to support and oversee facility-based trials to contribute to the BIF and Faculty goals.
If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for: Initiate and manage the development and implementation of BIF equipment/facilities; Develop & maintain strategic systems for the efficient maintenance of the Facility; Liaise with Faculty and wider UTS community to increase successful utilisation of the facility; Apply the use of single-use bioprocessing technology to achieve the aims of approved project(s); Manage complex projects from initiation to completion by applying a partner-focused approach to managing and advancing a pipeline of industry prospects; Conduct and support training on equipment and processes as required, focusing on industry customers. With examples, please outline within your Cover Letter, how you meet the following key selection criteria: Experience in cell culture, recombinant proteins, vaccines and mRNA biomanufacturing is highly desirable; Strong experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably GMP, biomanufacturing or pharmaceutical industry; Deep knowledge of quality assurance and quality control strategies; Knowledge of TGA, GMP and/or ISO codes. Remuneration Base Salary Range: $136,830 to $143,345 pa (HEW 9) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
