Tesla have an exciting opportunity for experienced electrical technicians to maintain and service utility-scale battery sites and work on the Tesla Megapack battery storage component.

In this role, you will join the technician team for an upcoming battery site close to Melbourne to service, troubleshoot, or upgrade medium to high voltage equipment as needed.

What You'll Do Troubleshoot and repair equipment as defined by the service engineeringteamBe available to travel, contributing to equipment uptime across multiplelocationsPerform complex and precise electro-mechanical debug, rework and repairPerform tasks requiring a high level of skill and patienceComfortable and able to work with Medium and High Voltage whilemaintaining a safety focusOperate a variety of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic and measuringequipment (including DMMs and MV test equipment)Develop and follow best practices and procedures for various maintenanceactivities related to Tesla Energy equipmentMaintain high levels of communication and feedback within the TeslaEnergy service organization; prepare daily updates of work completed, problemsidentified, and future timelines.Have flexibility to provide support outside your region and possiblyoutside the country as requiredPerform other related duties as assigned per our growth and diversityacross applicationsActively work across Powerpack and Megapack utility sites, ensuringoperations & maintenance requirements are met, maintaining a healthy fleetthat is performing optimally What You'll Bring Certified Electrician (Cert III (3)+ in Electrical/Electro Technology)Minimum 5 years' experience, with at least 3 years' electrical experiencewithin the renewables sector. (BESS/Solar/Wind experience is preferred)Must have up to date Electrical Registration/LicenceHV Switching Certification a plus, including experienceSCADA and HMI use experience preferrableExposure to use of Omicron Test equipment suiteKnowledge of data networksMust be able to work from complex and detailed documentation and/orverbal and written instructions depending on situationStrong computer skills. Comfort with Microsoft office and cloud-basedcomputing programs.Ability to communicate and function well in a mobile office settingAbility to read and understand manufacturing instructions, electricaldiagrams, and mechanical drawingsMust be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focusedWillingness to work outdoors, on the road, at unusual hoursAbility to lift 20-25kgValid driver's license requiredAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships withthose contacted in the course of work, including the publicAbility to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload,and meet deadlinesAbility to maintain and perform top level professional integrity Compensation and Benefits Benefits
