Tesla is seeking experienced electrical technicians to maintain and service utility scale battery sites, primarily working on the Tesla Megapack battery storage product. In this role, you will join the technician team supporting battery storage sites around the Collie region, to service, troubleshoot, or upgrade medium to high voltage equipment.Applicants should be self-motivated team players with a positive attitude, who see this as an opportunity to begin building a career with Tesla in the renewable energy infrastructure sector. You will be part of a high performing and tight knit team on site.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and repair equipment as defined by the service engineering teamPerform complex and precise electro-mechanical debug, rework and repairPerform tasks requiring a high level of skill and patienceComfortable and able to work with Medium and High Voltage environments while maintaining a safety focusOperate a variety of hand tools, power tools and LV/MV/HV test equipment for diagnosis and troubleshootingDevelop and follow best practices and procedures for various maintenance activities related to Tesla Energy equipmentMaintain high levels of communication and feedback within the Tesla Energy service organization; prepare daily updates of work completed, problems identified, and future timelines.Have flexibility to provide support outside your region and possibly outside the country as requiredPerform other related duties as assigned per our growth and diversity across applicationsActively work across Powerpack and Megapack Utility sites, ensuring operations & maintenance requirements are met, maintaining a healthy fleet that is performing optimallyRequirements:Minimum 5 years' experience, with at least 3 years' electrical experience within the Utility sector (Solar/Wind experience is preferred)Must have up to date Electrical Registration/LicenseMust have HV switching certification and experienceSCADA operating experience is a plusMust be able to work from complex and detailed documentation and/or verbal and written instructions depending on situationStrong computer skills, ability to utilise proprietary and 3rd party OEM softwareAbility to communicate and function well in a mobile office settingAbility to read and understand manufacturing instructions, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawingsMust be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focusedWillingness to work outdoors, occasionally on the road at unusual hoursValid driver's license requiredKnowledge of operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipmentAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the publicAbility to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlinesAbility to maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearanceIn addition to a competitive compensation package, Tesla Australia & New Zealand is pleased to offer the following benefits for permanent employees:Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Parental leave (no minimum employment period)Primary carer – 18 weeks at full pay or 36 weeks half paySecondary carer – 6 weeks full payEmployee Vehicle Loan ProgramNovated Leasing (AU only)Well-being Fund – An annual allowance for all employees to support their well-being in ways that are meaningful to themBike to work – $10 per day if you cycle to work
