Utility Officer

St Aloysius Catholic College is a co-educational Catholic College on three campuses in the Kingborough Municipality. The Junior Campus located in Kingston Beach (Kinder – Year 4), the Middle Campus located in Huntingfield (Years 5-8) and the Senior Campus also located in Huntingfield (Years 9-12). The College is seeking applications from suitably experienced candidates for the following position: Utility Officer Ongoing position 1.0FTE Re-advertised Position commences:  March 2024 (start date to be negotiated with successful applicant)  About the role This role involves hands on building maintenance and repairs and general gardening duties across three campuses. We offer a welcoming environment, where you will work as part of a small team to provide safe, secure and well-maintained sites for students, staff and families. Our Utility Officers perform a wide range of tasks in both preventative and reactive maintenance. Utilities Officers undertake general grounds and building maintenance duties and greet, assist and guide external contractors as required. Each day will be varied and challenging.  About you  You are a reliable and hardworking individual who is motivated and enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude. You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team; however, you are also capable of working on your own. With your commitment to customer service and excellent general maintenance skills you resolve and respond to issues as they arise. You have proven knowledge and capability to use and maintain equipment as required by the role. Your ability to work autonomously and manage your own time is exceptional. You are welcoming and helpful and ready to provide support. Salary will be in line with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.
