This role would suit candidates with a range of experience.
We welcome applications from experienced DBYD Certified Locators or locators with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience seeking DBYD Certification.
Duties will include:
Underground services locating & investigationsProcessing data to provide quality sketches and reports for clientsInterpretation of asset owner services drawing, aerial imagery, electronic and visual data to complete thorough services and structural investigationsUse of a range of locating equipment including ground penetrating radar, concrete scanners, electromagnetic locators, and CCTV inspection equipmentValidation of services by NDD excavation - Trailer Vac Unit or hand excavation potholingSuccessful applicants will have:
Experience in utilities, surveying, mapping, or geophysics industriesAn understanding of the differences and applications of various locating equipment, including ground penetrating radar and electro-magnetic location equipmentStrong desire to be part of a team focused on quality over quantityAbility and willingness to undertake physical work (accessing pits, potholing, etc.
)Driver's licenceFull working rights in AustraliaWhite CardAbility to pass pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol testsThe role will be based in Perth with opportunities at times to undertake short-term project-based works around Western Australia.
The working Directors at Subsurface Mapping are DBYD Certified Locators, with over 30 years combined experience in locating and mapping services.
