Laing O'Rourke owns one of Australia's largest plant and equipment hire companies, Select Plant Australia.About the opportunityThe Victorian Government is upgrading the Eastern Freeway with new express lanes and traffic management technology. Laing O'Rourke is part of the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance. Our scope of work includes a new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels, major road and bridge upgrades, and new noise protection.About the roleWe are currently seeking a Site Engineer to join us on the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance.Key responsibilitiesAssist supervisory staff and engineers in day-to-day operations.Complete duties assigned by your manager and be responsible for technical matters associated with construction.Monitor expenditure, program, productivities, and completion.Ensure adherence to all regulations and policies.Review delivery schedules and report on deviations.Understand design progress and contribute to improvements.Prepare and control ITPs, samples, inspections, and tests.Produce regular productivity reports and identify potential improvements.Prepare short- and long-term construction planning.About youExperience in major infrastructure projects.Background in Civil Engineering.Experience delivering large scale infrastructure projects, ideally in a tier 1 setting.A degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or construction management.We are committed to building a diverse workforce and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.Applications from recruitment agencies will not be considered.
