With a strong focus on quality, compliance, and collaboration, they work closely with Sydney Water and other stakeholders to design and deliver utility projects that serve our growing community.TalentWeb is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Utilities Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Sydney.
Responsibilities Design & Engineering:Prepare detailed designs for water, wastewater, and recycled water systems in compliance with Sydney Water and Australian standards.Develop concept designs, detailed designs, and as-built drawings using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, 12D, or similar).Conduct hydraulic modelling and network analysis to ensure efficient system performance.Project Management:Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.Support the preparation of project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and cost estimates.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of utility designs within broader project scopes.Regulatory Compliance:Liaise with Sydney Water and relevant authorities to ensure designs meet all regulatory requirements.Prepare and submit designs for approval through the Sydney Water Developer Infrastructure Provider (DIP) process.Site Investigations & Support:Conduct site inspections to collect data, assess existing utilities, and identify design constraints.Provide technical support during construction, including resolving design-related issues and conducting quality assurance checks.Requirements Previous experience in project management on Sydney Water projects, or with other relevant water authorities.Strong understanding of WSAA codes and Sydney Water's codes, policies, and procedures.Familiarity with GIS software and data analysis tools.Bachelor of Engineering an advantage but not essential.Sydney Water category accreditations an advantage (FIFM, W1, W2, W3, S1, S2, C1, C2, C3 and/or C4).Contact Matt King on to find out more!
