Reference Number: 273 Closing Date: 23-05-2024 Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Location: Dalby Jandowae Road Depot About the Opportunity Based in Dalby , you will undertake construction and maintenance activities on water, sewer and gas infrastructure through the skilled operation of trucks and machinery. Reporting to the Utilities Network Supervisor, you will: operate various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools/equipment, plant and machinery in particular backhoe, skidsteer and truck; undertake a range of allocated tasks consistently to meet agreed timeframes including traffic control as required; have awareness of relevant safety standards and requirements; and be prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical. Council will provide branded uniforms and quality on the job training including working with heights, confined space, traffic and VOC tickets. About yourself The successful applicant will: have a OH & S Construction White Card and current C Class Drivers Licence; certificate of competency for backhoe loaders; have an understanding and experience in various aspects of utilities construction and maintenance works; knowledge of Uniform traffic control devices and its application for signage (desirable); and certificate of competency skidsteer loader / Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers licence (desirable).
