User Experience Designer Local Peoples is seeking enthusiastic and talented User Experience Designer in the ACT, NSW, QLD to join our team as embedded members with our prestigious Government client.
Our Government client requires the services of a User Experience Designer to support our ever-growing portfolio of work, primarily focusing on product design and delivery in an Agile environment.
The User Experience (UX) Designer is responsible for delivering experience design expertise and solutions which contribute to and deliver the experience design of Agency's products, services, supporting wider programs delivery.
Within this role you will be exercising your expertise and knowledge to contribute to project delivery & strategic approaches which ensure a customer centred approach to solving complex User Experience design problems and outcomes.
The User Experience Designer will collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and customers to promote evidence-led design.
The User Experience Designer will help design and maintain tools and processes which will help establish a solid foundation for the design process by creating design frameworks, interface pattern libraries, and design guidelines.
This will ensure consistency, quality, efficiency, and clarity in the design delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities: Provide expertise and technical knowledge in design across various programs for the agency, supporting the future design of digital health and improved customer experiences.
Set priorities for the work area, maintain delivery cohesion, and ensure quality outputs for design.
Contribute to the development of team objectives for short-term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
Propose and facilitate innovation initiatives and contribute to business improvement strategies.
Ensure quality outputs for the design team, including delivering UX research and testing, and managing identified risks during product release activities.
Implement work plans for design phases, including setting tasks and priorities, managing workflow, and allocating resources.
Have an in-depth knowledge of the agency's role and functions and how these relate to design.
Maintain awareness of the longer-term strategic, tactical, or operational outcomes for the agency, programmes, and projects.
Work with independence to deliver quality outcomes, make decisions using good judgement and expertise, under limited guidance.
Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve design, product development, and agency goals.
Essential Skills & Experience: Generating ideas and deliver user-experience design solutions which ensures a high quality of experience, consistency and usability across multiple digital platforms and devices.
Designing assets which support an end-to-end product design process, such as wireframes, prototypes, site or journey maps, IA, card-sorting, expert reviews, etc for testing with Consumers and Healthcare Professionals for delivery to product and development teams.
Working in an agile environment with a view to deliver iteratively, efficiently and with lean principles in mind.
Participating in activities which support this such as daily stand-ups, retrospectives and showcases.
Experience in using design and prototyping tools such as (but not limited to): Figma, Adobe XD and/or Axure.
Conducting and participating in user-testing and co-design practices.
Knowledge and experience of applying digital service standards and a thorough understanding of accessibility and inclusiveness design requirements.
A portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating amazing User-Centred design solutions.
Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
3+ years' experience in human-centered design methods with a focus on User Experience Design.
Experience in the health sector and/or Government context.
Qualifications in Human-centered Design related field would be highly regarded.
Residency & Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline Clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
Australian Citizen.
