During the day the registrars and PGF cover the operating room under consultant supervision, for a heavy surgical load (both elective and non-elective), outpatient clinics, emergency department reviews, and supervise junior medical officers looking after the inpatients.DUTIESProvide competent and efficient clinical management of patients of Canberra Health Services under the supervision and direction of Consultant Medical Practitioner's. The clinical management includes acute admissions, in-patient care, outpatient clinics, inter-disciplinary consults and clinical handover.Participate in the supervision, training and professional development of junior medical staff and work within and support the multidisciplinary clinical team.Demonstrate progress in training in the specialty in basic urology and endo-urological procedures and participation in the relevant teaching program and activities, timely completion of assessments and involvement in research.Participate in the after-hours and on-call roster for CHS Hospitals.Contribute to clinical audit and participate in changes that improve quality and safety of patient care.Maintain adequate and legible medical record and ensure that the clinical team completes discharge summaries in a timely manner.Comply with the policies and requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the policies of Canberra Health Services.Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.ABOUT YOUCHS is committed to workforce diversity and to creating an inclusive workplace.
