Our projects span a range of urban development areas, from residential neighborhoods to public spaces, and we are looking for a forward-thinking Urban Planner to help drive our vision forward.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement detailed urban plans that address land use, transportation, and community needs.Collaborate with stakeholders including architects, engineers, and government officials to bring projects to fruition.Proactively seek out and identify new business opportunities, including potential clients, projects, and partnerships.Analyze data and trends to inform planning decisions and ensure sustainable development.Conduct public consultations and engage with community members to gather input and feedback.Stay updated with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and urban development best practices.Formulate and recommend policies related to land use, transportation, and community development to guide sustainable growth.Manage complex, large-scale planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet objectives, timelines, and budgets.Who You AreMinimum 8 years of experience within council OR minimum 5 years of experience within consulting and public sector across NSW landscape.A degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.Demonstrated experience in overseeing large-scale urban development projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.Proven track record of leading and mentoring junior planners and cross-functional teams.Proficiency in planning tools and software (e.g., GIS, CAD, planning databases) and a strong understanding of zoning laws, environmental regulations, and urban design principles.If you are interested, please apply to this job ad and one of our team members will contact you immediately.
