Upguard | Project Manager (Creative Operations)

Details of the offer

Who are we? UpGuard's mission is to protect the world's data. We obsessively seek out elegant, robust ways to enable our customers to find, acknowledge, and remediate cyber risk. With UpGuard, organizations leverage our security expertise and software to automate what was once laborious, spreadsheet-driven processes–whether it's monitoring the attack surface of hundreds of vendors or assessing the security of their own infrastructure. UpGuard is used by some of the world's largest, fastest-growing, and most innovative companies.
The Marketing team at UpGuard includes multiple marketing and design functions, including Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Marketing Ops, Content Marketing, SEO, Community, Design, and Video. UpGuard's vision is to become a leader in the markets we play in (Cyber VRM, Attack Surface Management) by providing a best-in-class SaaS platform for organizations to manage their third-party risk and external attack surface. Our purpose as a Marketing team is to facilitate this goal by growing UpGuard with a repeatable and scalable marketing engine and a leading brand.
Why we're hiring for this role? As UpGuard continues to grow, our creative team is handling an increasing volume of projects from various cross-functional teams. We're looking for a Creative Operations Project Manager to focus exclusively on overseeing and optimizing the creative team's project flow. This role will act as the primary liaison between the creative team and our cross-functional partners, gathering insights into their objectives each quarter and translating these needs into a clear project roadmap. This person will be essential in prioritizing, planning, and resourcing creative work to ensure our team is set up for success in producing impactful, high-quality work.
What will you do? Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (e.g., PMM, growth, content) to understand and document their marketing objectives, translating these into an organized, prioritized project roadmap for the creative team. Oversee the intake and prioritization of all creative projects, ensuring that timelines align with team capacity and that high-impact projects receive the necessary focus and resources. Actively monitor upcoming projects, tracking timelines, and keeping the creative team informed of expected workload and resource needs. Facilitate clear, consistent communication with cross-functional teams, providing status updates on project milestones and ensuring expectations are aligned. Implement systems and processes that streamline the creative team's workflows, enhancing efficiency and accountability and allowing team members to focus on producing their best work. Continuously assess project performance and team resourcing, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and elevate the quality of deliverables. What will you bring? 5+ years of experience in project management within a creative, design, or marketing team environment, ideally within a SaaS or technology-focused company. Strong background in creative operations, with demonstrated success in overseeing project flow and resourcing for a dedicated creative team. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, or similar), with a track record of introducing processes that improve team efficiency. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and keep all stakeholders informed and aligned. A deep understanding of creative workflows and the project lifecycle, enabling accurate time estimates and a balanced project load. A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with a knack for identifying and implementing systems that enhance team performance and streamline operations. What will give you an edge? Experience in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment, bringing insights into industry-specific challenges and best practices. Familiarity with brand and campaign development, with an understanding of how creative work intersects with larger marketing objectives. Previous experience in creative project management, adding value to projects that require cross-functional collaboration and a creative perspective. What's in it for you?
