We are currently seeking skilled Welders to join the team in Karratha, working for a reputable rail manufacturing company.
Client Details Our client is a leading company in rail transport.
Description This role reports directly to the Fabrication Supervisor and involves the repair and overhaul of rolling stock bogies, ensuring customer standards and requirements are met while adhering to strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities: Repair and overhaul rolling stock bogies while maintaining customer standards and requirements.Ensure all work is completed within specific timeframes and customer deadlines.Read and interpret drawings to manufacture components as per specifications.Manufacture and fabricate brackets, fixtures, tooling, fittings, and equipment.Ensure all welding meets AS4280 standards.Conduct Bogie inspections.Perform metal fabrication of components.Carry out oxy cutting and welding procedures on rolling stock equipment, including plasma cutting.Modify existing components through metal fabrication processes.Conduct minor mechanical repairs on ARC, MIG, and Welders.Profile Essential Requirements: Relevant National Trade Qualifications.National High-Risk Work Licence - Forklift.C-Class Driver's Licence.Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.Sound general engineering knowledge.Ability to work unsupervised and meet strict deadlines.Capability to perform general fitting duties.Desirable: Previous experience in the rail industry is highly preferred, though not essential.Job Offer If you are a skilled welder with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety, we encourage you to apply!
