Upcoming Operations Manager | Demolition and AsbestosCrewSELECT is a specialised workforce agency devoted to servicing Australia's Electrical, Mechanical and Fabrication sectors. Salary: $130k - $150k + Super + Vehicle + Fuel Card

Position Overview: The Operations Manager will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the business. The role involves managing tenders, budgets, field operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, and optimizing operational efficiency to meet client expectations. This is a leadership role that requires strong organisational skills, team management, and a commitment to safety and industry compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all operational aspects of operations (Perth Metro – Residential and Commercial).Work alongside the HSC coordinator to develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance.Manage and lead operational teams, ensuring effective allocation of resources, staff training, and performance management.Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and industry standards, including liaising with regulatory bodies as needed.Monitor and report on operational performance, including KPIs, cost management, and productivity improvements.Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies to minimize risks and maintain high safety standards.Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on innovation, technology adoption, and process optimization.Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.Conduct regular audits of operational sites and procedures to ensure best practices are followed.Manage the tender process from start to finish, including variations, monitoring costings and financial performance throughout the projects, identifying areas for cost savings and operational efficiency.Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations management, project management, or management within the construction/demolition space.Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.Proven experience managing field teams and multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Experience with budget management, cost control, and resource planning.Commitment to health and safety best practices.Leadership & Team ManagementProcess ImprovementProblem-Solving & Decision-MakingCommunication & Stakeholder ManagementSalary & Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience.Profit share opportunity after 12 months of proven success within the role.Strong support network within the business (2 x Directors) who will provide plenty of autonomy but are there if/when needed.Full handover will be provided from a senior member of the team (who's moving interstate in January).Opportunity for career progression within a growing business.1 x RDO for every month of the year!Be part of a family business that offers a great culture, friendly atmosphere, and supportive management team.The business is proudly a Supply Nation Certified supplier.Ideal Candidate Avatar: Capable of running contracts of $250k - $1.5m with proven experience to support.Stable and mature individual.Firm yet fair/friendly demeanor who can handle the team.Ideally from a Project Management / Operational / Senior Construction role.Must have knowledge of Building and Construction codes (Demolition ideally – Asbestos – EVEN BETTER).Proven ability to manage the tendering process.Someone who can communicate very clearly and can speak to key stakeholders at all levels.Must be looking for a long-term opportunity and shown loyalty in previous roles.What do you need to do now?
