About the role: Aurizon's Antiene depot is experiencing growth and to support this expansion have created new Unloader Operator positions to assist with the effective running of trains for our customer.
The Unloader Operator will work on a 24/7 shift roster to support the Antiene operations.
Please note this role commences asap for 9 months to cover mat leave initially.
Responsibilities: Follow procedures to operate computer control systems to unload trains in a safe & timely manner Conduct visual (roll-by) inspection of trains and identify and report faults Provide clear radio communication to train crews and other operational staff to ensure the safe movement of trains for unloading Safely operate motor vehicles Undertake tasks associated with the storage, movement, and quality control of transported products including inventory management and measurement, product sampling, data management, and record keeping Inspect and report faults on the Antiene Unloading Facility plant and equipment by undertaking relevant operational inspections Work with Aurizon staff on outage days to conduct safety inspections and coordination of maintenance activities on site About you: All-encompassing focus on safety along with great interpersonal skills Ability to work a rotating shift roster including early starts, nights, weekends & public holidays C Class Drivers Licence Good level of both written and verbal communication skills Ability to operate a computer control system for unloading trains Ability to work as a team and collaborate with diverse work groups Excellent attention to detail Ability to perform manual tasks as required Forklift licence preferred but not mandatory What we offer you: At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
