We are seeking a Senior Investment Operations Analyst to join our Finance team.
The Senior Investment Operations Analyst is responsible for assisting and making decisions on investments related settlements and cash flow movements related to the Investment Portfolio and dealing with daily issues which arise, ensuring transparency of information to members of the ICM team as well as other relevant stakeholders.
In this position you will also contribute to the management and structuring of investment data to enable the efficient management of due diligence processes and reporting of investment performance and positioning.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Work with the University's Investment and Capital Management (ICM) Team by overseeing critical investment operations functions.
Support the Head of Investment Operations in managing the Front Office/Fund Managers and custodian, and BAU operational functions.
Maintain complex calculations as required to track and analyse performance-based fees payable to Investment Managers.
Build and manage strong relationships with external custodian banks, Treasury team, ICM, Investment Managers, and administrators.
Enhance data quality, reporting standards, and review and maintain a peer benchmark database for fund performance reporting.
Lead and identify new ways to utilise data to deliver priorities, including effective collection, management, analysis, and communication of insights from data.
Review and assist in the development of procedures and systems relating to investment operations and data management.
About you
Hold a combination of qualifications and experience within a relevant field.
Significant experience in investment back-office management and liaison with custody service providers.
Demonstrated ability to implement best-practice processes, proven knowledge and experience working within the middle office/back office area, custody or superannuation field.
Significant ability to build effective client relationships, and negotiate and influence effectively at all levels, internally and externally, and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters confidently.
Provide customer service at a high level both written and verbal to a range of stakeholders within and external to the university.
Excellent computer skills, advanced Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.
