Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Student This opportunity is for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering student in their 2nd or 3rd year of study at Stanwell Power Station near Rockhampton. About the Student Position We are looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Student in their 2nd or 3rd year of study. This is a 36-week opportunity commencing in October 2024, with a 4-day working schedule from Tuesday to Friday. This position has potential to feed into future vacation work programs and our Graduate program, for the right candidate. About the Position We have an exciting placement opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering student commencing their third year or later. This will allow you to put your university studies into practice, while working under the guidance of qualified and highly experienced RPEQ engineers and subject matter experts. Providing hands-on assistance with mechanical project work. Providing hands-on assistance with mechanical design and project work including change management processes. Contributing to plant or process investigations - root cause failure investigations including review of operational plant data. Promoting a safe work environment by conducting on-the-job risk assessments. Updating documentation and procedures.
About You Completed your 2nd year of Mechanical Engineering study. A passion for ongoing learning and development. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A high level of initiative to promote our values in everything you do. Willingness to commit to potential future opportunities within Stanwell.
