The Senior Project Officers play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects to support the creation of the new Adelaide University. It is essential that you establish and maintain productive relationships leveraging stakeholder strengths to achieve shared program goals.
Senior Project Officer: Course Development in the Curriculum Domain
The Curriculum Domain aims to develop a modern, attainment-based curriculum for Adelaide University, supported by advanced digital tools to deliver a flexible, consistent, and enhanced learning experience for all students.
As the Senior Project Officer, you will manage a portfolio of disciplines and work closely with senior academic staff to successfully support the development and implementation of new programs and courses at Adelaide University. Each Senior Project Officer also manages and leads a small team of Project Officers, providing guidance and support in course development and escalating concerns to the relevant Academic Transition Panel. As a lead for course development, this role involves coordinating project deliverables, liaising with senior stakeholders, data management, coordinating resources, risks, and reporting.
Senior Project Officer in the SEA Domain
The Student Experience & Administration (SEA) Domain is responsible for ensuring that Adelaide University is equipped with a full range of student services, from enrolment and orientation to student support services and library functions, to completions and graduations.
You will assist the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Student Experience and Success and the Project Lead in coordinating program deliverables and delivering on Domain activities. Working collaboratively with senior IMO staff and other Domains, you will maintain comprehensive oversight of program activities and administration, with a focus on staff change and communication initiatives. This includes developing and managing staff newsletters, organising and delivering online town halls, and overseeing communication channels, with the assistance of the Communications team.

Additional responsibilities Develop and define project scopes, manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Prepare detailed reports, progress updates, and presentations. Monitor and review project deliverables for scope, time, and budget compliance. Analyse and communicate program benefits to drive continuous improvement. Support working groups and stakeholder meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-ups. Ensure adherence to IMO project methodologies and templates. Build strong relationships with university staff and external stakeholders. Essential Skills and Experience Tertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent experience in a complex environment. Proven project management skills, coordinating large-scale complex projects within scope, timeframes, quality, and budgets. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise and reconcile broad and detailed information. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and experience facilitating discussions and workshops. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. High-level organisational skills, initiative, and ability to manage competing priorities.
