This role is based in VP HR Team, within the Operations Division at UNSW.
Why Your Role Matters: As HR Project Consultant, you will play an important role within a multidisciplinary compliance program.
Your initial focus will be supporting Sustainable Pay Confidence stream activities with the opportunity to contribute to the wider project aims.
Engaged across a broad range of activities, you will build strong and effective professional networks and engage and collaborate across the program as well as with subject matter experts (SMEs) and senior leaders to support the delivery of efficient work practices that actively mitigate risk.
Working collaboratively with the Project Team and SMEs, you will investigate and gather insights into work practices and data.
You will review and present recommendations on process improvements and work practices, where appropriate.
Reporting into the Compliance Stream Lead, you will drive the review in line with key project objectives.
Your day to day will include:
End to end investigation and management of complex entitlements and obligations. Identify problems or errors and propose tailored solutions to UNSW processes to meet compliance obligations. Obtaining, analysing and evaluating documentation (business processes and relevant data). Providing specialist HR/ER advice and guidance on compliance and relevant policy interpretation. Partnering with the program team and key stakeholders to manage, monitor and report on progress of matters relating to the program. Build compliance capability around a range of industrial relations and employee relations practices across the University. Assess and monitor compliance as per UNSW's obligations to the Enterprise Agreements and employment law. Developing project planning documentation and supporting general project activities to support objectives. Who You Are: With a background in Human Resources/Employee Relations with a focus on compliance, you'll bring a practiced understanding of employment legislation, regulations, and HR best practices, alongside the following skills and experience:
Critical understanding of risks and controls in a regulated environment. Advanced written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail. The ability to deal with sensitive matters with discretion. Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working with the enterprise agreement beneficial. Excellent time management skills and able to respond to changing priorities.
