This Role Matters:
We have a Finance Analyst opportunity to join the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) team supporting the financial activities for the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture (ADA) at UNSW. In this role, you will be delivering financial management activities, including financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and reporting across multiple funding sources.
We're looking for a confident performer to work across complex data sets for analysis, modelling, and reporting purposes to support sound financial decisions and further the meaningful work we do at UNSW.
Who You Are:
As an experienced finance professional, you'll hold strong communication skills to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders from professors and department heads to administrative staff. You'll bring the ability to clearly explain financial information in a way that's accessible to non-finance experts and fosters successful working relationships, alongside the following skills and experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification and completion of a CA or CPA qualification with relevant professional sector experience. Demonstrated experience in core financial management and financial control processes, and financial analysis. Sound working knowledge of analytical tools. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its application in financial modelling and analysis, computer applications, enterprise systems, and the delivery of reports and presentations. Exceptional analytical skills with adaptability to competing priorities and experience managing complex data sets. Highly developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders at all levels. Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality service and tailored solutions to internal and external clients, ensuring a collaborative approach to meeting business needs.
