About the role
The role involves leading impactful research projects, building collaborative relationships with industry partners, and driving solutions to address current and emerging challenges in poultry science. As a key contributor to Poultry Hub Australia's strategic initiatives, the successful candidate will leverage their expertise in areas such as poultry nutrition, health, production systems, or genetics to conduct high-quality, industry-relevant research.
The role requires a demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging educational programs, including online and blended learning, and will lead the development of industry-focused training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A PhD in a relevant field such as poultry science, animal science, or agricultural science. A proven ability to lead high-quality, innovative research with a record of peer-reviewed publications, successful grant applications, and impactful project outcomes. Experience in managing research projects, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. A proven capacity to build and maintain strong collaborations with industry partners, research institutions, and funding bodies. An in-depth understanding of poultry science, along with awareness of the challenges and opportunities in the Australian poultry sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. PHA aims to provide leadership in coordinating collaborative projects essential to the Australian poultry industry's long-term sustainability and deliver practical solutions in a timely manner.
