The University of Adelaide is embarking on an exciting journey into 2026 and beyond! The high performing ITDS Team is seeking a motivated Software Developer to be involved in implementing new technology and enhancing existing functionality to meet the strategic needs of the University.
The Senior Developer (Integration) will have acquired extensive software integration knowledge throughout their career to date. The position will require the successful person to have an adaptable communication style to liaise with various stakeholders and guide junior staff members, by fostering good technology practices in software development and keeping current with emerging trends.
Reporting to the Manager, ITDS Core Platforms, the Senior Developer (Integration) is responsible for ongoing support, development and enhancement of the University's Integration Platform and associated APIs.
To be successful you will need:
Extensive experience with Java development and support in a complex, enterprise environment. Key technologies include Apache Camel, Spring Boot, OpenShift and Boomi. Proven experience analysing existing application processes and designing and implementing improvements. Demonstrated ability to understand customer scenarios and requirements, to develop and deliver effective business solutions. Demonstrated ability in problem solving, working well under pressure and meeting work deadlines. Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations. Desirable:
Proven experience with Web Service, Integration and Orchestration development and support. Proven experience with Apache Camel (or similar framework), Spring Boot, OpenShift, XPath, XQuery, Dell Boomi, Enterprise Integration Patterns. Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and technologies. Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education / training. Enjoy an outstanding career environment
