Continuing, Fulltime Lecturer position available immediately in Organisational Psychology or Health Psychology. The University of Adelaide (and the Adelaide University from Jan 1, 2026) School of Psychology offers three Masters Programs – Clinical, Health and Organisational. A balanced (teaching and research) academic position is available in the School of Psychology. The School's major research themes are health and wellbeing, human cognition and performance, lifespan development, social and cultural dynamics, and education and meta-research. Your research and teaching expertise would be in any one of these, although we are especially interested in building research capacity in organisational psychology and health psychology, including clinical health psychology, and health promotion and public health.
To be successful you will need: A PhD in Psychology. Registration as a Psychologist in Australia, with Endorsement in Organisational or Health Psychology, or the ability and willingness to gain Endorsement. Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and ideally, demonstrated experience in supervision of students on placement. Clearly defined research interests aligned with the School's research strengths and feasible plans for obtaining funding. A developing or established record of peer-reviewed publications at national and international level. Demonstrated ability to supervise the research of undergraduate, honours or postgraduate students, relative to opportunity. Demonstrated excellence and innovation in teaching at a tertiary level, including preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and workshops; as well as marking and assessment activities.
