The University of Canberra Council and the ACT Government are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who wish to nominate for two positions on University Council beginning in April 2025.
The Council welcomes applications from individuals with knowledge and interest in the higher education sector and significant governance experience commensurate with a major national organisation with 17,500 students, 1,360 staff, world leading researchers, and an annual turnover approaching $350m.
Applicants will have an appreciation of the University values, its ten-year decadal strategy Connected 2023 – 2032, its core activities of teaching and research, its independence and commitment to academic freedom, and the needs of the community. Applicants should have commercial acumen and be able to help govern the commercial direction of the University.

Applications are particularly welcomed from people with capability and experience in corporate or commercial finance, cyber security and IT, user experience and customer journeys, communications, and corporate board experience.
