Your part in our UnitingCare team We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Counsellor to join our dedicated team on the National Debt Helpline as part of our Financial Resilience and Wellbeing Service.
This position is full time on a fixed term contract ending 30 June 2025 and has flexibility on office location as well as hybrid model opportunities.
As a Financial Counsellor on the National Debt Helpline , you will facilitate client appointments via video or telephone sessions. You will provide confidential financial counselling, advocacy and information with a focus on empowerment and resilience outcomes for clients and their families.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in providing Financial Counselling and support to individuals and their families who are experiencing financial anxiety and stress. We are seeking someone with fantastic communication and computing skills who can work autonomously and have the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
In addition to the above you will also be required to have:
Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) Membership of eligibility for membership with Financial Counsellors' Association of Queensland (FCAQ).
