About the opportunity As a headspace Intake Assessment Worker, you will be one of the first points of contact for young people from 12 to 25 years old accessing our service in Horsham. Building a positive rapport quickly, you will assess a young person's needs and develop a plan to mitigate risks, provide follow-up support, and refer for treatment. You will also provide brief evidence-based interventions and coordinate care to a small caseload of young people presenting with mild to moderate mental health conditions. What's on offer You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that loves collaborating and is supportive of each other. In addition, you will become a member of the nationwide headspace team, with opportunities to develop and consolidate your skills in the treatment and support of young people. You can work full-time or part-time, we support flexible working and can also look at occasional work-from-home days. In addition to base salary plus superannuation, you'll also receive 17.5% leave loading and the ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits. There is also the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchased leave program. You will have access to paid parental leave for up to 10 weeks and can receive a 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre. About you You thrive in a triage environment, assessing and responding to young people presenting with a range of issues at a time when they need support most. You feel energized when you build engagement and trust with clients and can quickly move from assessment to a plan of action. You have proven experience in intake and screening activities and finding referral pathways. You know how to conduct comprehensive assessments and have experience working with young people presenting with mental health issues and at risk of suicide and violence. You will be a qualified and AHPRA-registered health professional, such as a Social Worker, Registered Nurse, Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist. How to apply Click APPLY to submit your interest.
