How you'll make an impact

The Unit Pricing Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring that our unit pricing is accurate, timely and compliant with regulatory standards. Through meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our unit pricing operations, whilst also supporting strategic projects as a subject matter expert, leveraging your expertise to inform decision-making and enhance overall operational performance.

You will be responsible for the oversight and review of unit prices calculated by our custodian, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery and analysing exceptions and resolving issues promptly to mitigate risks. You will perform the review and validation of member cashflows, and the timely delivery of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reconciliations and reporting. Your insights and recommendations will drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.

You will need to demonstrate an aptitude for clear, logical thinking and excellent numerical, reconciliation and analytical skills. You will have strong technical unit pricing expertise and have a proven track record of building effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and collaboration.


Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the review of unit prices calculated by the custodianReview and validation of member cashflows in a timely mannerConduct weekly, monthly and quarterly reconciliations and reporting including review of distributionsTimely and accurate communication with research houses on unit price and distribution queriesSupport strategic projects as a subject matter expert in unit pricingConduct data gathering, interpretation and analysis to facilitate problem solving of unit pricing issuesIdentify and implement process and control improvements to enhance efficiency and manage riskDemonstrate a strong awareness of risk factors associated with unit pricing and proactively address potential issues to ensure compliance and accuracyBuild strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders What you will bring to the team

Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related fieldDemonstrated experience in a similar role, working for a superannuation fund, investment manager or custodian (5+ years)Intermediate to advanced proficiency in ExcelIntermediate proficiency in MS Access - desirableStrong understanding of unit pricing concepts and regulatory standards and guidance notesGood understanding of investment structures and asset classesExcellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detailCritical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle challenging issues confidentlyEffective communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationshipsAbility to work under pressure while maintaining high quality standardsStrong organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesProactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvementAbility to work independently and proactivelyGood understanding of tax, fees, spreads, benchmarks You'll thrive here if...
