This innovative project focuses on a real-time screener to help clinicians and counsellors respond swiftly to suicidality in youth (ages 12+). You'll engage with participants, recruit project partners, manage data collection, and conduct preliminary analyses, working alongside a lived experience advisory group to co-design and implement the tool in various settings, including schools and youth mental health services. You will undertake research tasks such as recruitment, assessments, data collection (including neuropsychiatric interviewing, cognitive assessment, and electroencephalography; EEG) and analysis; provide extensive research administrative support; and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. About you With your well-developed organisational and troubleshooting skills, you excel at managing conflicting demands and meeting deadlines. You bring sound judgement, initiative, and a strong commitment to confidentiality, making you adaptable in dynamic environments. Your exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, along with your interpersonal skills, enable you to interact professionally and effectively with a wide range of people, building rapport and fostering positive relationships.
You will possess: completion of a relevant degree combined with a sound understanding of research methodologies; ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary research environment; experience working in a research environment and/or within the health sector in an administrative capacity will be highly regarded; and hold a current working with children blue card or ability to obtain one.
