Marketing and Communications, UniSC Moreton Bay Campus, Petrie Level 5, $77,710 - $87,573 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation Full-time, fixed-term for 12 months The Opportunity You will focus on inspiring and supporting high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue higher education. You will design and deliver workshops, presentations, and activities both on UniSC campuses and in schools, providing pathways advice, and fostering aspiration for university study. The role supports Regional Engagement Coordinators in building strong engagement programs with disadvantaged schools across the Fraser Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Moreton Bay regions, promoting education as a pathway to personal and academic success.
You will coordinate and assist in the delivery of a range of high school workshops and programs focused on skill development, career development, and tertiary pathways; provide advice on university pathways and opportunities to high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds; plan, coordinate, and assist in the delivery of a series of educational workshops focused on career development and tertiary pathways for secondary school students; measure the effectiveness of Widening Participation programs and activities. About you Your strong presenting and interpersonal skills, coupled with high-level public speaking and written communication abilities, will make you highly effective in this role. You bring excellent organisational, administrative, and program/event management capabilities to ensure the smooth delivery of workshops and activities. Additionally, your ability to exercise sound judgment and engage confidently and sensitively with people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds further enhances your suitability for this position.
You will possess: a relevant degree or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education/training; the ability to exercise sound judgement in dealing confidently and sensitively with people from a wide range of backgrounds, including disadvantaged; experience delivering engagement or marketing communication with prospective students; experience working with secondary schools.
