About the role: Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be based in Wetherill Park, NSW and will take responsibility to provide laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication shift supervision and management of people and equipment to achieve the desired output and efficiency from the manufacturing process during the shift, at the required quality level.
Duties and responsibilities include: Manage, train and lead production staff Assist with the successful running of day-to-day production Ensuring customer's orders are completed in full and on time Actively promote Quality Assurance/ Quality Control requirements Actively promote company Safety, Health and Environmental policies to a high standard Manage production equipment, stocks and consumables Manage the continual growth of the branch production requirements and efficiencies Participate in the induction and development of new team members Manage scheduled maintenance programs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Support the Operations Manager in instilling the required culture by personal instruction, example and leadership The successful candidate will possess: Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience Trade Certificate III in Engineering is essential Experience in Laser cutting, Manufacturing and Fabrication environments Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation Excellent organisational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience in Quality control systems Understanding of safety, environment HR and IR legislation Forklift licence and Driver licence is essential Please note that candidates must have Australian work rights and will be asked to undergo a pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
