As part of the new Operating Model, we are looking for anUnderwriting Audit & Governance Lead to join our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office.
In this new role you would beresponsible for ensuring the effective oversight, governance and continuous improvement of underwriting practices through audit frameworks. This role will be responsible for managing the Quality Assessment Program and Peer Review Framework to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and operational policies. Youwill also contribute to strategic projects, collaborating across the business to drive improvement.
Key responsibilitiesManage and undertake the Quality Assessment Programs (QAP) and Peer Review FrameworksIdentify capability requirements and training needs, and assist in the development of a tailored plan in conjunction with the key stakeholdersAssist with strategic projects as directed by the Chief Underwriting OfficerKnowledge, skills and experience
Essential
Experience in a similar type role
Knowledge of Property, Package, Casualty and Financial Lines products and exposures
Experience of effective stakeholder management within a commercial environment (including both internal and external stakeholders)
Experience in business / performance report writing
Experience in data analysis and management information (MI) reporting and interpretation
Experience in designing and managing a Quality Assurance Program, Peer Review and Governance frameworks
Ability to work independently, take initiative and deliver measurable outcomes
Highly desirable
