Underwriter, Commercial Property Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide Type: Permanent, full time The opportunity We currently have an opportunity for an Underwriter to join our Commercial Property team for Elders Portfolio. You will be part of a highly experienced team where you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your Underwriting career. We are ideally looking for an experienced Commercial Property Underwriter, Insurance industry is essential. This role will suit someone who is passionate, customer focused and able to develop strong business relationships both internally and with our broker network. Your new role Key Responsibilities: Underwriting new business and renewals through successful portfolio management.Providing exceptional service to our customers through various mediums including phone calls and face to face meetings.Contributing to the company objective through effective underwriting of our Industrial Specialist Risks (ISR) portfolio.Responding to queries in a timely and professional manner in line with agreed service standards.Working collaboratively and intuitively to achieve business goals and desired service outcomes.Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement mindset. About you To be successful in this role, you will: Strong underwriting experience in ISR or business packages.Strong customer facing experience, with the confidence to build and grow Broker relationships.Excellent attention to detail and data analytics experience.Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, problem-solving and process improvement experience.Relevant insurance or tertiary qualifications desirable, but not essential.
