As an integral member of the team, the Truck Operators will work closely with Westgold's production department and operate our CAT AD63, Atlas Copco and Sandvik Trucks. The trainee truck operators work 12 hours a shift on a day shift/night shift rotation.
If successful through the screening process, you will be invited to Westgold's Assessment Centre on Thursday 31st October at our Canning Vale Training Facility . Successful candidates will have the chance to learn from industry leaders and have an insight into the day-to-day of a Trainee Truck Driver/Nipper and discuss whether FIFO is right for you.
The duties will include but not be limited to: Completing equipment pre-starts. Completing necessary safety paperwork and processes. Working with the underground team to provide support in the installation of ground support measures. Manual handling of drill rods, ground support mesh and bolts. Supporting the wider operations with other ad hoc tasks as required. What do I need? Manual Driver's licence (Required ) 6-12 months experience in a labour intensive role. Strong understanding and commitment to safety. Must be comfortable working underground. The ability to commit to rostered remote work. The right to work in a permanent role in Australia. Currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Western Australia. National Police Clearance (issued within 12 months).
