ABOUT THE ROLE Ensure personnel are adequately inducted and trained in their work area, and are aware of all workplace rules and critical procedures applicable at Norton's operations Develop appropriate induction and training of all personnel at the underground operations. Actively contribute to safety policy, new initiatives and implement change as directed by the management team. Ensure all incidents are reported and investigated according to policy and statutory requirements. Provide feedback on personnel assessments to the relevant Superintendent and/or Manager. Provide expert advice to managers and officers in relation to legal obligations, policies, systems and procedures. Ensure that all relevant reports, documentation and plans are developed, approved and submitted to meet the obligations under the relevant legislation and government policies. Assist with the development, implementation and review of applicable policies, procedures and risk management plans. Work closely with all departments to ensure competency assessment and development is ongoing to meet all statutory and business requirements and targets. Continually monitor and manage training requirements of all operators to ensure skills requirements are met. Communicate changes to procedures to ensure clear understanding. Carry out training and re-training of self to remain up to speed with changing trends in adult learning concepts. Participate in Emergency and Rescue Training and mock evacuations. Maintain an accurate and full account of all training, inductions and assessments conducted. Maintain an accurate and full account of all standard operating procedures, emergency procedures and plans and Job Hazard Analysis. Provide assistance to fellow trainers in other departments as required. Any other duties as required. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience in a similar role. Minimum Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. Certificate IV in Occupation Health & safety (desirable). BENEFITS Permanent full-time role with immediate start Excellent remuneration package with additional allowances Receive $12k residential allowance per annum, if you are residential and not FIFO. Receive up to $5k site allowance per annum, depending on your site location. Receive up to 10% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary. Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service. Norton acquired the Bullabulling Gold Project near Coolgardie in 2014, including a series of granted mining leases, prospecting licences and exploration licences. Historically, Bulabulling was a near-surface open pit gold mining producer in the 1990's. Norton aims to review and advance the project towards production.
Norton has Mineral Resources of 10.35Moz, gold Ore Reserves of 1.11Moz and a mine life in excess of ten years, with considerable exploration upside from more than 80 known prospects across its tenement package.
