Role Details Gold Fields- Granny Smith is currently seeking Supervisor: Underground to join their Mining department. Reporting to the Mine Coordinator, you will be responsible for the supervision of mining operators to ensure the shift operates in a safe and efficient manner complying with all the policies and procedures and meeting the set development targets. This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster and is FIFO from Perth. Support and mentor the progress of assigned tasks and address any issues. Understand and prioritise improvement opportunities and formulate alternatives to systems and methods. Assist the Underground Manager with the implementation of change management initiatives and other projects. Liaise with Coordinator regarding operating parameters and technical issues in relation to the mining operations and communicate with relevant operators. Collaborate with the crew to connect and set clearly defined accountabilities, roles, and development plans. Assist with planning of projects, and supervision of Business Partners. About You: You will have: Western Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency. Proven extensive experience in underground mechanized mining. Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a gold mining environment. Experience in rapid lateral development, production, and haulage. Demonstrated planning and forecasting knowledge. Experience in using Microsoft Office & mining software including SAP and INX.
