The operation continues to deliver excellent operational performance and employs over 500 employees and contractors who reside in the local region.
We are currently recruiting an Underground Operator for the Mine Services Team at MMG Rosebery.
The role reports to the Mine Services Supervisor, and the accountabilities will include specific tasks related to your area of operation.
This role is offered on a 7 Days on, 7 Days off, Day Shift Only, DIDO basis.
Skills and Experience To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in underground mining, with a strong emphasis on mechanised underground mining operation techniques.
You will be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills in a team environment.
Exposure/Experience in construction of brattice & vent walls, fan installation, boxing & pouring of concrete slabs is critical to the role.
Steel set construction experience would be highly regarded.
As a team member, you will have the ability to communicate clearly and conduct detailed handovers with supervisors, cross-shift, and other relevant departments.
You will also have a basic understanding of mining targets & priority projects to ensure targets are met.
You will be expected to work both autonomously and in a team environment with safety and the wellbeing of others as your number one priority.
About You: Ideally, you will have a trade background (Builder, Fitter, Welder); however, we will consider candidates that have previous experience in underground civil or service work.
