About the Role
Victory Minerals is seeking an experienced Underground Mine Manager to provide strategic leadership and technical expertise within our mining department. In this key role, you'll oversee daily operational and technical functions, working closely with your team to meet and exceed budgetary goals. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems to optimise technical performance, ensuring compliance with safety, statutory, production, and financial standards.
As a visible and influential safety leader, you will embody and promote a strong commitment to safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Integrity and respect in interactions with employees, contractors, the community, and the environment are essential to your success in this role.
Key Qualifications and Experience
Experience: Extensive leadership experience in underground mining operations, with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams.
Safety Expertise: Strong background in safety systems, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and team-building skills. Ability to plan, organise, and delegate effectively, while demonstrating initiative and flexibility.
Technical Knowledge: Prior experience with computer-aided mine design and scheduling. Proficiency in MS Office is essential.
