Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs. It is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset in a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 project aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.

The Role
Reporting to the Services & Backfill Supervisor, as the Underground Facilities Maintainer this role involves the maintenance and servicing of underground ablution facilities, crib rooms, and offices. You will also be responsible for maintaining and replenishing underground stores.
To be successful in this role, you will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a determination to excel and a commitment to action while working safely.
Duties include: Clean and service toilet facilities, crib rooms, and offices.Order and supply stock for the underground crib rooms and offices.Maintain the underground store, including booking out pumps, hand tools, and general equipment.Conduct regular stock takes of items, including ground support, re-order and re-stock consumables, and assist the stores truck operator as needed. About You Previous underground mining experience is a pre-requisite.Current Australian drivers' licence.Valid Working at Heights certificate.Light vehicle and integrated tool carrier operation (RPL).Demonstrate a high level of trouble-shooting/problem solving skills.Effective communication skills with a sound understanding of mining practices.
