THE ROLE Charging development headings and production stopes Handling and transporting explosive materials in a safe manner Working collaboratively with the team to ensure production targets are met Communicating effectively with colleagues, including mine supervisors, geologists and other machinery operators Being organised and undertaking all assigned tasks by the Shift Supervisor Possessing excellent housekeeping standards to ensure machinery is kept clean and tidy Being familiar and complying with all Company Procedures, Guidelines and Work Methods applicable to your role WHAT DO I NEED National police clearance issued within 12 months or able to obtain, that is suitable for the gold industry Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Charge Up Operator in an underground mining environment The right to work in a permanent role in Australia WA Shot Firer's licence and Dangerous Goods Security Card Experience with Normet and DYNO emulsion (highly regarded) Knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations A can-do, team-oriented attitude Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment Reasonable computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable Candidates must meet our pre-employment criteria which includes medical and drug and alcohol screening, relevant right to work checks and be able to provide a valid Australian national police clearance (or be able to obtain).
