The Role We are looking to recruit an Undergraduate Surveyor to join our successful and growing Survey team in Geelong.
This is an exciting opportunity to kick start your career in surveying and work on urban/land development, residential subdivision and major infrastructure projects.
With training and mentoring provided by industry experts, your duties will include:
Undertaking field work duties and assisting in the preparation of survey plans and topography surveysAssisting with data transfer, field survey set-out & data collection, reduction, and processingCollecting, analysing, and collating survey dataProducing calculations and plansEnsuring all surveying tasks are meet with appropriate technical standards in-line with client requirements and SMEC's policies and proceduresLiaising with project managers and appropriate stakeholders to ascertain information required to undertake documentation tasksAbout you Final year student undertaking relevant Survey qualificationsAbility to use basic theoretical knowledge of Surveying principles to analyse and interpret informationExperience using Trimble surveying equipment (advantageous)Current Australian Driver's LicenseWhite CardIn return, SMEC offers you the benefits that come from working in a global multidisciplinary consultancy in an environment where your fresh ideas and enthusiasm will be welcomed and rewarded.
