The Undergraduate Nursing Student Placements Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination of the Undergraduate Nursing Student Placements at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (the Eye and Ear). This includes liaising and working collaboratively with the tertiary education providers to ensure nursing students are scheduled and fully prepared, including sighting of the correct documentation, to attend for placement.
The role is also required to work collaboratively with the members of the Nursing Education Team to coordinate the students whilst they're on placement and to ensure any issues or concerns are dealt with accordingly and that their education provider is informed. The Clinical Support Nurses will provide the clinical support role in conjunction with the local area staff and will report any concerns to this position in a timely manner.
All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Record Check, a working with children check (if applicable), and evidence of vaccination status.
