About the Role: This role is essential for site safety and environmental standards, supporting excavation and cleanup efforts efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include:
Operating the Vac truck within manufacturers' guidelines, the training manual, and competency assessment. Carrying out non-destructive digging, jetting, and cleaning. Understanding and being willing to carry out daily requirements as requested by the Manager. Ensuring visual site hazard assessments are completed before, during, and after work is completed. Maintaining the truck to a high level of service and cleanliness. Removing rubbish daily. Performing daily pre-start safety and maintenance checks. Reporting truck or equipment faults to the Operations Manager promptly. Completing necessary paperwork and submitting it on a daily basis. Developing a working knowledge and understanding of the truck and equipment. Using them with due care and properly and responsibly. Following directions from Managers and being willing to undertake what they require. Complying with company and client-specific policies and procedures. Operating the Vac Truck safely to conduct excavation, cleanup, and disposal of waste materials. Working closely with site teams to plan and execute safe excavation operations. Accurately recording material removed and submitting reports on completed jobs. Following all environmental and safety regulations to minimize project impact. Requirements: Prior 2 years experience as a Vac Truck Operator in construction or mining environments. Valid Vac Truck Operator certification and HR driver's license. Strong commitment to safety and environmental practices. Good communication skills and ability to work within a team. Drug and Alcohol test required. Police Clearance required. High Pressure Water Jetting required. Control Waste required. Confined space preferred. Working at Heights preferred. Gas testing preferred. First Aid preferred. Elevating Work Platforms preferred. White card preferred. Must be able to live & work in the Kalgoorlie region. Inducted Northern Star, Evolution, BHP, Mineral Resource preferred.
