POSITION SUMMARYUnarmed security officers maintain a safe and secure environment at businesses, organizations, and residential properties. They patrol premises, perform access control, and investigate disturbances. They also monitor alarm systems and video surveillance cameras.RESPONSIBILITIESCredential/ID inspections.Alarm response (Time-sensitive).Incident response.Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards or security concerns.Visual vehicle inspections.Walking patrols, averaging 30 minutes.Vehicle patrols (If qualified).Access/Escort assistance.Loss Prevention.Perimeter fence inspections.Building occupancy inspections.Daily report completion (Daily Activity Report/Incident reports/Entry logs/Etc.).Static access control posting.Key issuance/inventory.Maintain constant communication with the supervisor.Maintain detailed knowledge of all standard procedures/post-orders.Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements (GATE).Permit authorized persons to enter the property, monitor entrances, and exits; and control/direct traffic (GATE).Meet applicable PPE standards of work location. May include hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and cut-resistant gloves (Construction).Subject to recurring proficiency audits.QUALIFICATIONS:Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule. Nights and weekends required.
