Participating in this rural placement will enable you to gain significant skills and experience and rapidly progress your capabilities and career.The BRHS Medical Department provides services across a broad spectrum of care, including the Medical/Surgical ward containing 34 beds, 2 bariatric beds and a 4 bed High Dependency Unit. The unit provides care for a large spectrum of medical conditions and post-operative care for gynaecology, urology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, ENT and general surgery patients. The ward has facilities for cardiac monitoring via both mobile telemetry units and fixed monitors.This role offers a great opportunity to complete your training amongst a small team of dedicated professionals enabling you to receive dedicated support and develop strong professional relationships. You will benefit from exposure to a very broad scope of practice and regular access to a range of education and training opportunities. In this role you will provide high quality assessment and care to inpatients of a broad range of low and high acuity medical patients in conjunction with the multidisciplinary health team with the direction and support of the staff Physicians.
