Join this innovative team at the forefront of mining technology. Committed to creating seamless and user-friendly digital experiences for their products, they are looking for a passionate and proactive UI Designer who can engage with various stakeholders, gather requirements, and come up with effective design solutions.
This is a 12-month contract role and you will be paid a competitive daily rate. There is a likelihood that the contract will extend as there is a building pipeline of work. The role is based in the CBD and, although there is flexibility, it is expected that most of your time will be spent in the office.

Role Summary: As a UI Designer, you will report to the UX Lead and collaborate closely with delivery teams, Product, SMEs, and BAs to develop user experience design strategies and user interface designs for Mining Autonomy products. Your role involves facilitating discussions and workshops to understand requirements and factors impacting usability and user experience. Ideally, you will have several years of experience and be competent in working autonomously.

Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Engagement: Work with Product, SMEs, BAs, and other users to understand business and user requirements.Design Translation: Convert requirements and user journey flows into detailed UI designs.Alignment: Ensure designs align with business requirements and acceptance criteria. Work with delivery squads to refine designs during implementation.Design Systems: Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries for supporting various interfaces.Professional Skills:Workshop Facilitation: Competent in running requirements-gathering workshops and defining user flows for UI design.UI Design: Proficient in translating user requirements into detailed UI designs, adhering to best practices, maintaining design systems, and demonstrating prototypes to capture feedback.User Research: Skilled in conducting user research activities such as user testing and interviews, and identifying user experience pain points.Personal Attributes:Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.User Advocacy: Able to represent user needs and provide recommendations on the impact of different design choices.Initiative: Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently.What to do now:
