About the Role 12 Months ContractCanberra LocationFederal GovernmentWe are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to support our large Federal Government client on a 12-month contract. The purpose of the role is to develop and maintain the client's design language, branding guidelines, and overall look and feel across multiple projects and delivery streams, ensuring a consistent approach to User Interface and User Experience design.
About You You are a creative and strategic thinker with a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces. You have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles. You thrive in collaborative environments and have excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate design concepts and decisions effectively. Your ability to balance aesthetics with functionality ensures that you create designs that are not only beautiful but also practical and user-friendly.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Design Language Development: Develop and maintain the client's design language and branding guidelines to ensure consistency across all digital products and platforms.User Interface Design: Create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring a seamless user experience.User Experience Design: Conduct user research, create personas, and develop user flows and wireframes to guide the design process.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to understand project requirements and deliver design solutions that meet user needs.Design Implementation: Participate in all stages of User Story development, from ideation to implementation, ensuring design requirements are met and maintained.Prototyping: Develop high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and gather feedback from users and stakeholders.Usability Testing: Conduct usability testing to identify areas for improvement and iterate on designs based on user feedback.Design Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including style guides, design specifications, and pattern libraries.Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.Expertise: Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions.Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Why Fujitsu?
