About the role: Working as our office accountant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting function for our firm itself (it's an internal role, not a client facing role). The role will include:
Assistance with daily banking as required Preparation of weekly cash flow forecast Accounts payable Processing fortnightly and monthly staff payroll Preparation and lodgement of monthly payroll tax Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations Preparation of month end accounts and management reports for our firm Preparation of monthly instalment activity statements and quarterly Consolidated Business Activity Statements Attending to reimbursement of expenses for staff and Partners of the firm Assistance with client trust account transactions Assistance with preparing our firm's year-end financial accounts and income tax returns Assistance with preparation of our firm's fringe benefits tax return Other reporting requirements for both our Australian national and our UHY International affiliation About you: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience. Experience as an office accountant with the total management and responsibility of the accounting function and reporting Proficient in the use of Excel Strong analytical and numerical skills, possessing a high attention to detail High level of accountability with the ability to prioritise and manage reporting deadlines Experience in accounting software, either MYOB, Xero or Reckon "Can do" attitude and willingness to get involved in the detail, not just oversight. Ideally some experience working in a professional services firm. Your application will include the following questions:
